I would like to personally thank every single one of you for all the love and support this past year, while I have been going through this difficult time. Lake Waldena is truly like a second family to me.
The love, support & “playing nice in the sand box :)” has really made a difference with my treatments and recovery. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful community surrounding me everyday.
CAMPERS – Now is the time to book your site for next season. If you are planning on staying 4 months or longer you can now book your specific site by paying your fourth month payment in advance. After March 31, 2016 ANY unreserved sites will be available for booking with the standard $200.00 deposit, which will guarantee you a site, just not a specific one.
CAMPERS – For those of you who may not be aware of our On-Site Storage Special. Several years ago Lake Waldena Resort started on On-Site Storage for seasonal campers. Campers staying at least 4 full months can leave their rigs on their site, as long as it is not a prime site for $53.00 per month. That means if you are here for 4 months and leave your rig on a non-prime site for 8 months it will only cost you $424.00. You can come back with your economy car instead of the vehicle that eats right through your wallet. Many of you took advantage of this last year and from what I am hearing will be doing it again this year. We have many new faces in the park this year and want to get the word out for those of you that may not be aware of this special. Save, Save, Save!!
For those campers that will be taking advantage of our On-Site Storage Special. Your rigs need to be completely unhooked (water, cable, sewer hoses, any outdoor items should be stowed away in your rigs or completely under them. The maintenance staff will need to get in and around your rigs to mow and weed-eat this summer. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. You have a choice to leave just your electric plugged in and our normal electric rate of .12cents per KwH will be added to your bill each month.
MOBILE HOME OWNERS – For those of you that are heading north for the summer make sure you stop by the office and update your Yard Care notices and make sure the office has your most recent

March is the month for our Annual Picnic at the pavilion. Unfortunately between my surgical schedule and Doris’s schedule the picnic will be pushed to April. It will be held on Friday, April 8th. Chicken, baked beans and cole slaw will be provided. Please bring a side to feed at least eight people and a dessert for four. Watch the board for the sign up sheet around the 21st of March. There will also be a sign up sheet for volunteers to help set up, serve and clean up. All leftovers will be donated to a local soup kitchen.
March is also “Clean Up Month” We have scheduled George Duprey with Duprey’s Tree Servive to come in and give a community discount on any tree trimming work in the community. If anyone wants to have tree limbs cut or trimmed from over your homes this would be the time to have it done. There is a sign up sheet in the office. George will be here on Monday March 16th. We will give him the home owners sign up sheet and he will meet with each home owner on the list and give you a discounted quote.
We will pick up leaves and pine needles from mobile home residents on Thursdays during March. PLEASE PUT THEM IN TRASH BAGS for easy pick up by our maintenance staff. Campers…we will continue to pick up your raked leaves and pine needles from the front of your sites on Fridays.
