January News Letter

Lake Waldena Resort
Monthly Newsletter January 2016

Well, 2015 certainly had its ups and downs, but we’ve made it to a new year. So glad to see the park full and busy, and lots of smiling faces. Have you noticed a difference in the Rec Hall lately? I’ve asked that the lights be turned on and the doors unlocked to the library and Rec Hall every day when the office is open. Please utilize these areas for gatherings with your fellow Waldener’s. There are books and dvds to borrow, puzzles to work on and tables and chairs available for sewing/craft projects and lounge chairs for socializing. Wishing you all a happy healthy new year. Doris

We would like to start out the new year welcoming back all out returning residents and a special welcome to all the new residents that are now calling Lake Waldena home. We have a great community and we’re proud to be a part of it.

There will be an activities meeting on Tuesday, January 5th, at 3:00pm.
We encourage Campers and Mobile Homes Residents alike to attend.
Please keep an eye on the activities board that is located by the mailboxes, for the added activities that have not yet been posted on the calendar.

When posting notices on the bulletin board, please keep your posting no larger than 5” x 7”. This will allow room for everyone. Any posting that is larger simply will be removed.
Emergency phone numbers are posted in front of the office. Please respect the privacy of our staff who live on the premise. It is to be used ONLY for Extreme Park Emergencies. Such as broken water or sewer pipes, electrical emergencies, etc. All others issues, you should call 911. For non-emergency issues, such as
Suspicious activity call the local non-emergency number (352) 732-9111

If you have a comment, suggestion or complaint concerning any park issues, it must be submitted in writing and given to the office staff and it will be addressed. Please, DO NOT stop the maintenance staff or call the office, this takes them away from their daily duties
Attention Campers: We will again be providing you (Upon Request) a leaf container for those of you that like to tend to your own site. Simply ask the office staff and one will be delivered to your site. We will pick-up, dump and return your leaf container to you Every Friday provided that you have pulled it out in front of your site by 12:00 noon. That gives the maintenance staff time to pick up, dump and return your containers and still gives them time to get the main dump trailer to the dump, by the end of business day, so that they are empty for those that may need to use them over the weekend.
